I starts, runs and revs fine until I put it into drive. Replace coils, plugs, fuel pump, fuel, only thing left I can think of is rebuild carbs or clean them. It was manufactured by hongkong marine in 1992.[Evinrude] I havent tried it yet,but was wondering if it has a neutral position. If not,how do you maneuvere in tight spaces.i.e.Docking and tying up.

Yamaha virtually cloned OMC 2 strokes when they began to make their name in the early 80's. Easy to work on and maintain. Apr 21, 2010 · Problem is with my evinrude E-TEC outboard motor shifting into gear, mainly reverse. I bought my ranger bass boat at Cabelas and in the last year have had it in there five times for the same problem. Never being fixed for more than a single day. They have adjusted many things, replaced cables and currently replacing I believe the shift gear/box.
